CURLY HAIR
(TRADEMARK CURLS!)
…. it's all about four signature stages: drying, sectioning, curling and styling.
To get started, shampoo and condition her hair with one of my cleansing duos. We love to alternate between the Hydrating and Amplifying sets so hair is always in perfect balance.
You can even mix them together like I do to achieve the best of both worlds. Plus, remember my motto: rinse, rinse, rinse.
Next, spray the entire head with David Babaii for WildAid Bohemian Beach Spray and scrunch the product into her hair. This gives just the right amount of texture and movement.
I always rough dry using my hands, moving hair in various directions. Once dry, I section the hair into 3 different parts: top, sides and back leaving the nape area free. This is vital because you need to have constant control over the hair at all times. I use a 1" inch (4cm) sized ceramic curling iron to create classic bohemian beach waves.
To style, I take small "v" shaped strands and wrap them around the outside or inside of the barrel, leaving the ends free. Then, I run my fingers up the partially curled strand to get a dramatic, wild finish.
For additional lift or volume at the scalp area, I use David Babaii for WildAid Volcanic Ash Root Amplifier. To complete the look, I spray David Babaii for WildAid Mise en Plis Light Styling Spray. Sometimes if I really want a truly dramatic result I have her flip her head down and over. |
